MEDIA ADVISORY: Chairman Azzinaro to hold Military and Veterans Outreach Day this Wednesday, May 21

STATE HOUSE – House Veterans’ Affairs Committee Chairman Samuel A. Azzinaro (D-Dist. 37, Westerly) will be hosting the annual Military and Veterans Outreach Day this week on Wednesday, May 21 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on the second floor of the State House.
The event will give veterans and their families an opportunity to network and get a greater understanding of the resources available to them.
“Twenty-four groups and organizations that help and support our service members, veterans and their families will be in attendance to speak with veterans about different supports and services available to them. This is a great annual event that not only shows our appreciation for our veterans, but also allows them to connect with each other and our state government. I urge all veterans and their families to attend and I thank the groups that are coming to support our veterans at the event,” said Chairman Azzinaro.
Veterans and their families will also be given an opportunity to meet their state representatives and discuss the issues that have an impact on their lives.
