|The Guide to Government Assistance Programs|
This guide is designed to provide an overview of the government assistance programs that help low- and modest-income Rhode Islanders meet their basic needs. These programs include Income Supports, Food Assistance, Health Care, Child Care, Housing, Utilities and Tax Credits. Information in the Guide is current as of June 24, 2010.
The Child Outreach program is sponsored by the RI Department of Education and is offered through local school districts. It is a screening process to evaluate the developmental, speech, vision, and hearing needs of children ages three through five. All children ages three through five are eligible for free screening.
