Senator Donna M. Nesselbush (Democrat - District 15, Pawtucket, North
Providence) was born on August 9, 1962. She earned her B.S. from Brown
University and her J.D. from Suffolk University and is currently a practicing
attorney with the Law Firm of Marasco & Nesselbush, L.L.P.
Senator Nesselbush is multilingual, fluent in Spanish, Italian, and
Portuguese. She is a Founding Partner of the Law Firm Marasco & Nesselbush;
Chair of the RI Bar Association’s Social Security Disability Committee; Member
of the American and Rhode Island Associations for Justice; Chief Judge of the
Pawtucket Municipal Court; Vice-President of the Municipal Court Judges’
Association; Former Executive Director of the RI Coalition Against Domestic
Violence; Past President Progreso Latino; and a Former Board Member of the
American Civil Liberties Union.
Senator Nesselbush has been honored for her work with numerous awards,
including the Appreciation Award from Crossroads Rhode Island; the Appreciation
Award from theRhode Island Coalition for the Homeless; the Leo J. Wyman Award
from Suffolk Unversity; and the Sarah Doyle Prize from Brown University.
