Mark P. McKenney represents Senate District 30, covering much of the southern
half of the city of Warwick.
He has been active with many community organizations and non-profits,
including service as Chair of the State Library Board, President of the
Providence Community Library, and President of Literacy Volunteers of Rhode
Island. He is presently on the Advisory Board of Books are Wings and the
Advisory Council of House of Hope.
Senator McKenney is an attorney at McKenney, Quigley, & Clarkin, LLP in
Providence, RI. He graduated from Warwick Public Schools; Bishop Hendricken High
School; Boston College; Catholic University - Columbus School of Law. He also
studied at the University of Kent at Canterbury, England.
A Democrat, he was first elected to the Rhode Island Senate on November 4,
2018.
Sen. McKenney was born on October 9, 1956. He is married to Tricia (Cronin)
