Media Advisory: General Assembly cancels sessions, committee hearings tomorrow
|
 STATE HOUSE – Due to today’s blizzard, the Senate and the House of Representatives have canceled their sessions and all committee meetings tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb 24.
Both chambers are scheduled to meet on Thursday, Feb. 26, beginning at 4 p.m.
In the House, agendas for canceled hearings will be reposted for next Tuesday, March 3, to the extent possible, though additional bills will likely be added to those agendas. However, the canceled Finance Committee hearing tomorrow will be rescheduled at a future date because a hearing has already been posted for next Tuesday. The House Finance Committee meeting scheduled for this Wednesday, February 25, at 4 p.m. will be held.
In the Senate, tomorrow’s floor calendar will be moved to Thursday’s session. The Judiciary Committee and the Health and Human Services Committee agendas scheduled for tomorrow will be rescheduled to Thursday at the rise of the Senate (sometime after 4:30 p.m.) Since the Senate Finance Committee already had an agenda scheduled for Thursday, its hearing scheduled for tomorrow will be rescheduled to a later date to be determined.
