Media Advisory: House Finance Committee posts FY 2027 budget on Friday for potential consideration

 STATE HOUSE – The House Finance Committee has posted the FY 2027 state budget bill for potential consideration on the evening of Friday, May 29, in Room 35 on the basement level of the State House.
The budget (2026-H 7127), introduced on January 15 by House Finance Committee Chairman Marvin L. Abney (D-Dist. 73, Newport, Middletown) at the request of Governor Daniel McKee, is posted, but the committee will be considering amended legislation to be posted at the hearing.
The budget is posted for consideration at 4 p.m., although it may be heard later in the evening.
The meeting will be televised by Capitol Television, which can be seen on Cox channel 61, on i3Broadband channel 15 and on Verizon channel 34. It will be live streamed at capitoltvri.cablecast.tv.
