2/27/2023 MEDIA ADVISORY: House Oversight Committee to hear review of operations from Department of Human Services
STATE HOUSE — The House Committee on Oversight is scheduled to meet Wednesday to hear a review of operations from the Department of Human Services.

The committee will meet Wednesday, March 1, at 2 p.m. in the House Lounge on the second floor of the State House.

Anna P. Novais, acting secretary, and Kimberly Merolla-Brito, acting director of the Department of Human Services, will present the review to the committee, including staffing levels, the timeliness of the application process, closing the call center on Wednesdays, and preparations for the recertification of Medicaid applications.

The House Oversight Committee is chaired by Rep. Patricia Serpa (D-Dist. 27, West Warwick, Coventry, Warwick).

The meeting will be televised live by Capitol Television, which can be seen by Cox Communications subscribers on channels 15 and 61 for high definition, on channel 15 by i3Broadband viewers, and channel 34 for Verizon subscribers.
