MEDIA ADVISORY: Senate Committee on Rules, Government Ethics and Oversight to hear review of RIPTA operations

STATE HOUSE — The Senate Committee on Rules, Government Ethics and Oversight is scheduled to meet today to hear a review of operations from the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority.
The committee will meet today, Monday, March 6, at 5:30 p.m. in the Senate Lounge on the second floor of the State House.
Scott Avedisian, CEO of RIPTA, will give remarks and an update on the authority’s operations, then answer questions from the committee.
The Senate Committee on Rules, Government Ethics and Oversight is chaired by Sen. Mark McKenney (D-Dist. 30, Warwick).
The meeting will be televised live by Capitol Television, which can be seen by Cox Communications subscribers on channels 15 and 61 for high definition, on channel 15 by i3Broadband viewers, and channel 34 for Verizon subscribers.
