Media Advisory: House Labor Committee to vote on wage bills Thursday
|
STATE HOUSE – The House Labor Committee is scheduled to meet Thursday to vote on two bills concerning wages.
The meeting is scheduled Thursday, April 20, at the rise of the House session (sometime after 4:30 p.m.) in the House lounge on the second floor of the State House.
Scheduled for votes are:

2023-H 5371 — Sponsored by Rep. Leonela Felix (D-Dist. 61, Pawtucket), this bill would allow individuals employed in domestic service or in or about a private home to be included as an employee for purposes of minimum wage laws.

2023-H 5595 — This bill sponsored by House Majority Floor Manager John G. Edwards (D-Dist. 70, Tiverton) would require that offsite fabrication work for public works projects be subject to prevailing wage and reporting requirements.
