1/29/2024 Media Advisory: Diverse group of progressive legislators to announce 2024 legislative priorities
STATE HOUSE – A broad group of Representatives will come together to announce their Working Families Agenda, a list of top priorities for the 2024 legislative session, on Tuesday, Jan. 30, at 3 p.m. in the House Lounge on the second floor of the State House.

The legislators have committed to working together to pass a group of bills that include funding affordable housing, expanding paid leave and raising progressive revenue. They will outline a set of priorities that will have an immediate and tangible impact for working families, and call on colleagues to work this session to pass this agenda and make it easier for Rhode Islanders to make ends meet.

Speakers at the event will include Rep. Karen Alzate (D-Dist. 60, Pawtucket, Central Falls), Rep. José F. Batista (D-Dist. 12, Providence), Rep. Justine A. Caldwell (D-Dist. 30, East Greenwich, West Greenwich), Rep. Megan L. Cotter (D-Dist. 39, Exeter, Richmond, Hopkinton), Rep. Leonela Felix (D-Dist. 61, Pawtucket), Rep. Joshua J. Giraldo (D-Dist. 56, Central Falls), Rep. David Morales (D-Dist. 7, Providence), Rep. June S. Speakman (D-Dist. 68, Warren, Bristol), Rep. Jennifer A. Stewart (D-Dist. 59, Pawtucket) and Rep. Teresa A. Tanzi (D-Dist. 34, South Kingstown, Narragansett), with many others present in support.
