General Assembly activities canceled Tuesday
|
 STATE HOUSE – Due to the winter storm expected in Rhode Island Tuesday, House session and all General Assembly meetings and events scheduled Tuesday, Feb. 13, are canceled and are being rescheduled.
The floor calendar posted for tomorrow’s House session has been re-posted for Tuesday, Feb. 27, the day the House returns from February recess. Wednesday’s House session and House committees scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday will be held as posted. There is no House session scheduled Thursday.
The House Finance Committee meeting previously posted for tomorrow will be postponed to Feb. 27. The three other House committees that were posted for tomorrow have all been reposted for Thursday, all at 4 p.m. Those committees are Judiciary, to be held in the House Lounge; Health and Human Services, to be held in Room 101; and Innovation, Internet and Technology, to be held in Room 135.
The Senate Health and Human Services Committee meeting that had been scheduled tomorrow is rescheduled to Thursday at the rise of the Senate session (sometime after 4:30 p.m.) in the Senate Lounge. The Senate Finance Committee meeting will be rescheduled to March 5.
The meeting of the Permanent Joint Commission on Child Care will be rescheduled to a later date.
The Ethics Training for House members that was previously scheduled for tomorrow has been rescheduled for Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the House Lounge.
