MEDIA ADVISORY: House Finance Subcommittees meet this week to hear department budgets
|
STATE HOUSE – House Finance Subcommittees will be meeting multiple times this week to hear testimony on FY 24 Supplemental and FY 25 department budgets.
On Tuesday March 19 at 3 p.m. in Room 35 of the State House, the Subcommittee on Public Safety will hear the department budgets for Military Staff.
The subcommittee is chaired by Rep. Camille Vella-Wilkinson (D-Dist. 21, Warwick).
Also, on Tuesday, March 19 at the RISE of the House (approximately 4:45 p.m.) in Room 35, the Subcommittee on Human Services will hear the following department budgets:

Department of Children, Youth and Families
-
Office of Child Advocate
The subcommittee is chaired by Rep. Teresa A. Tanzi (D-Dist. 34, South Kingstown, Narragansett).
On Wednesday, March 20 at 4 p.m. in Room 35, the Subcommittee on Environment and Transportation will hear the following department budgets:

Department of Transportation

Rhode Island Public Transit Authority
-
Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority
The subcommittee is chaired by Rep. William W. O’Brien (D-Dist. 54, North Providence).
On Thursday, March 21 at 3 p.m. in Room 35, the Subcommittee on Human Services will hear the budgets for the Department of Health.
Also, on Thursday, March 21 at the RISE of the House (approximately 4:45 p.m.) in Room 35, the Subcommittee on Education will hear the following department budgets:

Public Higher Education

University of Rhode Island

Rhode Island College
-
Community College of Rhode Island

Office of Postsecondary Commission
The subcommittee is chaired by Rep. Scott A. Slater (D-Dist. 10, Providence).
