Deputy Speaker Hull concerned about the future of Fatima Hospital
|
STATE HOUSE – Deputy Speaker Raymond A. Hull (D-Dist. 6, Providence, North Providence) is releasing the following statement concerning the recent bankruptcy filing of Prospect Medical and the future of Fatima Hospital in North Providence:
“The bankruptcy filing of Prospect Medical is concerning on a number of levels, with the most important being the future of Fatima Hospital. The hospital is a crucial lifeline to our community and any potential of closure is deeply troubling. The loss of the substantial tax base that Fatima Hospital brings to North Providence is also worrying and needs to be monitored closely. As your representative, I will do everything in my power to ensure that Fatima Hospital remains the deeply cherished and vital community asset it has been for decades so that it continues to serve the community into the future,” said Deputy Speaker Hull.
