Sen. Bell receives committee assignments
|
 STATE HOUSE — President of the Senate Dominick J. Ruggerio (D-Dist. 4, North Providence, Providence) has appointed Sen. Samuel W. Bell (D-Dist. 5, Providence) to serve on the Senate Commerce and Housing and Municipal Government committees.
The Commerce Committee considers legislation and matters relating to financial institutions, business regulation, property and casualty insurance, technology and telecommunications. The Senate Committee on Housing and Municipal Government considers all legislation and matters affecting housing, municipal government and transportation.
Senator Bell is data scientist at Brown University. He was first elected to the Rhode Island Senate on November 4, 2018.
