MEDIA ADVISORY: House Finance meets on Thursday to consider FY 2023 state budget

STATE HOUSE – On the evening of Thursday, June 9 in Room 35 of the State House, the House Finance Committee will meet to consider the FY 2023 state budget. The budget (2022-H 7123) introduced on January 20 by House Finance Committee Chairman Marvin Abney (D-Dist. 73, Newport, Middetown), at the request of Governor Daniel McKee, is posted, but the committee will be considering amended legislation, to be posted at the hearing.
The budget is posted for consideration at the rise, although it is expected to be heard later in the evening.
The hearing will be televised live on Capitol Television, which can be seen on Cox on Channels 15 and in high definition on Cox Channel 61, on i3Broadband on Channel 15 and on Channel 34 by Verizon subscribers. It will also be live-streamed at www.rilegislature.gov/CapTV.
