2/26/2024 MEDIA ADVISORY: House Finance Committee continues budget hearings this week
STATE HOUSE – The House Finance Committee will continue its hearings on the 2025 state budget this week, meeting on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, all in Room 35 on the basement level of the State House.

On Tuesday, Feb. 27 at the RISE of the House (approximately 4:45 p.m.), the committee will hear the following articles from the 2025 state budget proposal:
  • Article 1 – Section 6 – State Fleet Operations
  • Article 3 – Section 19 – Supplemental State Code of Procurement Ethics
  • Article 3 – Sections 20-21 – State Purchases
  • Article 3 – Section 24 – Department of Administration
  • Article 5 – General Obligation Bonds Question 2 – State Archives
  • Article 10 – State Leases
On Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 4 p.m., the committee will hear the following articles from the 2025 state budget proposal:
On Thursday, Feb. 29, at the RISE of the House (approximately 4:45 p.m.), the committee will hear the following articles from the 2025 state budget proposal:
  • Article 3 – Section 11 – State Fire Marshal
  • Article 3 – Section 17 – Statewide Mandatory Lead Registry
  • Article 3 – Section 27 – Integrated Housing Report
  • Article 5 – Question 3 – Housing and Community Opportunity
  • Article 6 – Section 23 – Motor Vehicle Excise Tax
The committee will also hear the following article from the FY 24 supplemental budget proposal:
  • Article 1 – Section 9 – Municipal infrastructure Matching Grant Pool Transfer
The meetings will be televised live by Capitol Television, which can be seen on Cox channel 61, on i3Broadband channel 15 and on Verizon channel 34. It will be live streamed at capitoltvri.cablecast.tv.
