7/23/2024 Rep. Finkelman named as one of PBN’s 40 under 40
STATE HOUSE – Rep. Alex Finkelman (D-Dist. 74, Jamestown, Middletown) has been recognized by the Providence Business News as one of this year’s 40 Under 40 honorees. The awards ceremony took place on July 18 at the Aldrich Mansion in Warwick.
           
“It was a tremendous honor to be recognized along with the other award winners by PBN for our professional success and community involvement. I am humbled to have joined the ranks of past award winners who have truly made a difference for Rhode Island,” said Representative Finkelman.
           
Representative Finkelman was elected to the Rhode Island House of Representatives in November 2022. He is a dedicated member of the House Corporations Committee and the House Small Business Committee, where he actively works to support and develop legislation that promotes economic growth, environmental sustainability, and educational excellence across the state.
           
In addition to his legislative work, Representative Finkelman is the owner and president of The Egis Insurance Group. Under his leadership, The Egis Insurance Group has been instrumental in providing insurance, consulting, and employee benefits to businesses throughout Rhode Island. His dual role as a state representative and business leader uniquely positions him to understand and address the needs of both the public and private sectors.
           
A graduate of the Providence Country Day School in East Providence and the University of Hartford with a degree in insurance and finance, Representative Finkelman brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his roles. His previous service on the Jamestown Zoning Board further underscores his commitment to community involvement and local governance.
           
Representative Finkelman’s recognition as one of PBN’s 40 Under 40 highlights his exceptional contributions to both his constituents and the broader business community. He continues to balance his legislative responsibilities with his business endeavors, ensuring that Rhode Island remains a vibrant and thriving place to live and work.
